Today, many unmanned vehicle platforms (air, land, and sea) (UXVs) are produced. However, the real challenge is ensuring that UXVs can work in a coordinated manner as a flock and adding autonomous mission operating capabilities to them. This will allow UXVs to be used in many areas without requiring users to have extensive piloting knowledge. It is evident that such autonomous and coordinated behavior is needed in many fields, including military, security, agriculture, livestock farming, health, and search & rescue. This requirement appears to be met with this Ground Control Software (GCS) that enables users to both define tasks and operate in the same environment.
GCS is integrated software for unmanned vehicle command, control, automation, data acquisition, replay, analysis, simulation and rehearsal.
AdSiF engine can also be deployed on Raspberry Pi devices to act as an intelligent commander of unmanned system and be a part of hierarchical command-control system possibly consisting of several GCSs and other UXVs. This hierarchical control structure works distributively (via HLA), conveying from low level atomic commands to high level commands and mission organization and optimization. These operations can be operated in real time with real systems, can be executes as simulation before operation or replayed after operation as a debriefing or assessment purposes. All these capabilities are scalable from single unit to fleets or swarms.
Telemetry Module supports high band/short range (e.g. WiFi) and low band/long range (e.g. LoRa) communication devices. The GCS allows switching between these two, considering current conditions and necessities during an operation and therefore smoothly supports communication relaying, swarm division and joining.
NETN-FOM based conceptual model provides plug & play test environment for third party real systems and simulation applications complying with HLA standards.
