DIS Teydeb Destek Kararı 1
Decision to be supported by TÜBİTAK TEYDEB for our project titled “Agent-based time synchronization management in distributed interactive simulation (DIS)”.
The main motivation of the project is to enable the Agent-based Simulation System EtSiS to operate the stand-alone simulation models without the need for any central coordination (non-federated) in accordance with DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) standards and to ensure that the synchronization in operation is agent-based. .
The expected purpose of being agent-based; To manage the algorithms to be used for time synchronization and event management with EtSiS behavior definitions and to select among different algorithms on a rule-based basis.
EtSiS provides a simulation and application development environment for the State-based programming paradigm on which the script language is based and the multiple programming paradigms it encompasses. The core interpreter, which forms the basis of the architectural and engineering solution, operates the application algorithms prepared as a finite state automaton. The interpretation of simulation operating algorithms as scripts (time management, event selection algorithms, etc.), like application algorithms, moves the EtSiS solution into a general-purpose language category in simulation and application development. EtSiS has been developed with an event-based architectural solution, unlike worklist-based solutions and process-interactive solutions that are generally implemented in simulation languages. The simulation can be extended by developing modeling approaches as a library and interpreting them with the kernel interpreter.
