R&D support decision by TÜBİTAK TEYDEB for our project titled “Agent Based Production Systems Simulation Tool”
A production system simulation model library will be developed, which will be developed based on EtSiS (Agent-based Simulation System) and will enable the agent-based modeling and operation of an existing/designed production system to be interactively with real systems and analyzed. The system will be designed as a Cyber-physical system component, taking into account Industry 4.0 requirements. Agent-based modeling is discussed under two headings. The first one is to design the assets in the system with the agent architecture from a software engineering perspective, to provide dynamic and weak interdependence between the components, to develop a flexible engineering product with reusability, interoperability and component-based modeling. The second is to enable autonomous behavior of entities in the modeled system, instead of procedural operation, and to develop a simulation model library that can execute dynamic planning, interacting with parallelized real systems. Intelligent decision capabilities will be modeled in the simulated system. Decisions will be developed based on defined criteria, algorithms and logical propositional structures. Scenario designs will be managed dynamically according to the simulation-defined conditions and the obtained reasoning results, and the scenario change will be operated in a purpose-driven way to achieve the defined purpose of the simulated system.
